BHF Hearty Lives Barking and Dagenham

The BHF Hearty Lives programme is for Barking and Dagenham residents aged 16+, who are at risk of developing Coronary Heart Disease (CHD).  

The aim of the programme is to help individuals improve their health through physical activity, healthy eating and other positive lifestyle changes. 

We offer a drop in session every Wednesday morning to discuss all aspects of heart health and provide relevant referrals and support.

This programme/support network is designed for residents of Barking and Dagenham that are at risk of developing Coronary Heart Disease and/or residents that are currently suffering or have suffered from the effects of heart disease.

You can self refer on to the BHF Hearty Lives programme.

You could qualify for the BHF Hearty Lives programme if you can identify with any of the following risk factors:

  • High Blood Pressure 
  • Overweight (BMI 30>)
  • High Cholesterol 
  • Diabetes 
  • Family History of Heart Disease 
  • Physically Inactive 

We do also accept referrals from a GP
