The Vineries provides supported accommodation for 31 young people aged 16-19 for up to two years. Look Ahead provide all the support and Circle South Anglia are the landlords, providing housing management and overnight security staff.
The service is staffed 24/7 with a team of four support workers, one assistant support worker, one specialist mental health support worker and two night security staff. Each young person will have a support worker who will offer them support on a 1:1 basis. The service also provides group workshops and activities.
Young people living at The Vineries have a variety of support needs including accessing education, training and employment, managing finances, support with mental and physical health problems, emotional support, support with substance misuse etc. In order to provide the best support for our customers.
When young people have been in the service for two years, or are approaching their 19th birthday, and still need further support they are referred to other appropriate supported housing services. When young people are ready to move on into independent living we support them to bid regularly for council accommodation and support them look into private rented options.
